LDN & COMED Launch
The “International Center for Development” in Cyprus
On the occasion of the visit of the Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiaes to Lebanon and the convening of the economic meeting organized by the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, the Lebanese Development Network (LDN), in partnership with COMED, announced the launch of the “International Center for Development and Services” (ICDS) in Larnaca - Cyprus.

This step comes within the context of the ongoing cooperation between the two parties in terms of organizing conferences, special exhibitions, training workshops and seminars in the economic, commercial, social and health sectors.

LDN President Amin Nehme said that "this event is a continuation of the policy of open horizons adopted by the organization in its strategy of expanding its services, and transferring its experience in the areas of “Capacity Building" and "Social Marketing" to neighboring countries either in the Arab region or in Europe. “This initiative is one of the qualitative elements in the Network's career in the fields of consulting, training and program development," he added. Nehme concluded that “the partnership and the complementarity between LDN and COMED constitute the cornerstone of the Center's success.

In turn, the Director General of "Comed" Dr. George Moufarrij stressed "the importance of introducing new axes of investment by providing the most appropriate ways of communication between all the components of the productive communities in the world." Moufarrij added that "the priority here lied in the enhancement of the interaction between the local and foreign leading institutions in these field, as well as to move across Lebanon and the region to different areas in search of better opportunities" by attracting and implementing projects at both the regional and the international levels.

About the upcoming activities, the two parties indicated that the preparations have started to launch a calendar of events for the coming period, where details will be announced in a timely manner.
