E-Campus 'Summer School 2017' Marked Success
In the ongoing effort to boost human rights values and education in the Euro-Mediterranean region, the E-Campus University in Como (Italy) organized the Summer School 2017 - “Human Rights, Leadership and Communication” which concluded with a remarkable success.

The full week program brought together more than 30 participants from the United Arab Emirates, Palestine, Lebanon, Jordan and Iraq, and constituted a joint venture between the Learning Center and the Right to Study (CRAD) at E-Campus University, the Global Center for Justice and Humanity, and the Lebanese Development Network (LDN).

All classes, workshops and training modules were specifically designed to enable participants acquire a complete knowledge on human rights, and equip them with the fundamental skills to efficiently act in the field.

The topics discussed were conducted by a group of acclaimed experts from both regions and included the following: Introduction to Human Rights, Human Rights Concepts and Principles, Anthropological Perspective of Human Rights, the Strategic Value of the Right to Education, History & Evolution of Human Rights in the European Experience, Human Rights in Italian Ordinance, Human Rights and Olympic Solidarity, Citizenship and Tolerance, and Cultural Diplomacy. In addition, a series of interactive seminars on Managerial Leadership and Effective Communication Skills were introduced.

During the closing ceremony, E-Campus University Dean Prof. Enzo Visiero submitted his presentation entitled 'Building Bridges - Connecting Hearts.' Prof. Viserio concluded: “As we have built the bridge, so now we have to cross it.”

The presentation was followed by the distribution of certificates.

Afterwards, a new partnership was initiated through a quadripartite agreement signed by Prof. Visiero (E-Campus University), Prof. Paola Todini (CRAD), Dr. Ali Khashan (Global Center for Justice & Humanity), Mr. Zayed AlShamsi (Emirates Association for Advocates & Legal Consultants) and Amin Nehme (LDN).

The program offered participants with a unique and enriching experience on both technical and educational levels during which special visits and excursions were arranged to both Como Lake and Milano city.
